Living in South Africa and having grown up fortunate enough to experience the African bush and its wildlife up close, this is very close to my heart.  I’ve spoken against Rhino poaching before and when I came across Nick Brandt’s foundation Big Life, it made sense address the topic of poaching for commercial use again.

Nick Brandt’s photography is visible evidence of his love for Africa and its animals. His foundation Big Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving Africa’s wildlife and ecosystems. Since its inception in September 2010, Big Life has hired over 120 rangers, built 14 outposts, and purchased 13 night-vision equipped vehicles in an urgent response to the recent dramatic escalation in poaching across much of Africa. All the proceeds from the sale of these stunning prints are donated to the foundation.  These extracts that highlight the magnitude of this problem:
